Group B1

Nanoscale oscillatory network evolution

Fundamental mechanisms of biological information processing will be considered in project B1 as guidelines for novel neuromorphic circuits. B1 intends to realize spatiotemporal pattern and plasticity in memristively coupled oscillatory ensembles as two essential phenomena observed in nervous systems. The transfer to neuromorphic systems will be pushed by software emulators, allowing an efficient implementation of basal neuronal functionalities running in real time. Additionally, circuit-based simulation tools like LTspice will enable a common ground for communication with other projects.
