Integrated Research Training Group

The IRTG promotes scientific independence and interdisciplinary training of all early stage researchers within the CRC. It introduces a qualification program that fosters key qualifications and competencies required in today’s scientific communities. This includes the support of the direct communication between the CRC projects at doctoral researcher level, international research stays, annual CRC retreats and CRC workshops with international experts, university-based graduate lectures, workshops, and general courses, gender equality measures, family service offices, and mentoring programs. The IRTG will be continually monitored to ensure common standards in the education of young researchers.

The iRTG-board consists of the following members:

Principal investigators:

Prof. Dr. Martina Gerken
Prof. Dr. Thomas Meurer
